Brian Andersen

Brian Andersen is the Co-Founder and Head of Digital Marketing Investment Banking of LUMA Partners, a strategic advisory firm with a singular focus on digital media and marketing. Brian is a seasoned strategy, corporate development, and mergers and acquisitions executive based in the firm’s Silicon Valley office. With a decade on the buy-side of strategic acquisitions, Brian has extensive experience setting strategy, executing acquisitions and successfully integrating acquired companies.

Prior to LUMA, Brian was Vice President, Corporate Development for Omniture, the leading web analytics and web optimization company, responsible for all mergers and acquisition activities (acquired by Adobe for $1.8 billion). Prior to Omniture, Brian was Vice President, Corporate Development at Interwoven, a leader in web content management and document management (acquired by Autonomy for $775 million). Before Interwoven, he was a member of the executive staff at Phoenix Technologies, where he was responsible for corporate development, government affairs and special projects for the CEO. Brian was also formerly with Robertson Stephens, a technology-focused investment bank, in its mergers and acquisitions group.

Brian received a Bachelors of Science degree in mechanical engineering from UC Davis and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA. He used to consider himself an athlete, having been a two-time All-Conference defensive end for UC Davis and a member of the ski patrol at Alpine Meadows in Lake Tahoe.

Brian resides in Palo Alto with his wife and three children. These days Brian finds himself coaching or cheering from the sidelines for his two boys and daughter at Palo Alto baseball and water polo games. On occasion, he does escape to the mountains for some skiing or mountain biking, or to the coast for some surfing.
